Paris Gare du Nord

Paris Gare du Nord

Paris in one Day

On Wednesday the 4th of June 2025 I went with my wife for one day to Paris. This, because we want to visit the David Hockney exhibition at the new museum of the Fondation Louis Vuitton. The architect of the museum building is Frank O Gehry. I must say he has designed an impressive building.

I have taken many photos there and will share some of them with you. Please enjoy.

Departing in Aachen

We started our journey in Aachen because we had a bomb alarm in Cologne and most of the  inner city was closed for any traffic. From Aachen the traveling time  to Paris Nord was less then 3 hours.

Riding with the Paris Metro

From the station Gare du Nord we went by Metro to the station Place de Gaulle (Etoile). From here we took the electric Bus to the museum Fondation Louis Vuitton. Leaving Paris I shot the last photo in the waiting area of the Gare du Nord.

Some Impressions of the Town

I had a short walk around at the Place Charles de Gaulle and the railway station Gare du Nord. Here I took also some street fotos.

The Museum Fondation Louis Vuitton

Now lets have a view to my highlight of the journey. The museum was designed by Frank O Gehry and is located in suburb park of Paris. Let me say Paris has gained a new spectacular landmark. I will give you some impression from the outside and inside of the building.
